Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2025

Protecting your privacy is fundamental to the way Lifekind Foundation and its subsidiaries (collectively, “we,” “us,” or “our”) conduct business. Although privacy regulations require companies to inform you of their practices regarding the collection and use of your personal information, keeping your personal information confidential has always been our policy. We have always known that privacy is important to you, and we are committed to safeguarding your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we may collect, use and disclose your personal information.

Personal Information

In the course of using our website (https://www.lifekindfoundation.com), we collect personal information through online form submissions, event registrations, donations, and volunteer sign-ups. This information may include identifiers such as your first and last name, email address, phone number, date of birth, donation amount, and, when donations are made through Wix Payments, the last four digits of your payment card number and transaction details. We may also collect general website usage data such as your IP address, browser type, and activity on our site.

How We Collect Personal Information

We collect personal information in several ways:

  • Directly from you, when you complete forms to donate, volunteer, or register for community events through our website.

  • Through third-party integrations, including:

    • Wix Forms, which securely transmits information you submit through our website.

    • Jotform, which we use for volunteer and food bank sign-ups. Jotform securely collects and transmits your form submissions to us and does not access or use this information for any other purpose.

    • Wix Events and Tickets, and the Event Calendar, which may display upcoming opportunities and activities but do not independently collect personal information.

  • Through payment processing partners, including Wix Payments and, in limited cases, direct bank transfers via Zelle. When donations are made through Wix Payments, card information is encrypted and processed by Wix and its payment partners in accordance with PCI DSS Level 1 standards. When donations are made via Zelle, funds are transferred directly between your financial institution and the Foundation’s designated bank account, and we receive only limited donor details (such as name, email address, and donation amount) as part of the transaction record.

  • Automatically, through cookies and similar technologies. Our website uses cookies to recognize your browser, improve functionality, and analyze site usage. Some browsers allow you to send “do not track” signals; however, our website does not currently respond to such signals.

Donations and Wix Payments

Our foundation accepts donations through our website using Wix, a third-party website hosting and payment platform. When you make a donation, you may be asked to provide your name, email address, phone number, billing address, and credit or debit card information. Donors may also contribute via direct bank transfer through Zelle; such transactions are processed directly between your bank and ours.

i. How Donation Information Is Processed and Stored
Donation transactions are processed through Wix Payments, which is operated by Wix.com Ltd. and its payment processors: Adyen N.V., Stripe Inc., PayPal Inc., and their affiliated acquiring banks and financial service providers. Wix and its processors handle card transactions in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS Level 1).

Information collected through our donation form is stored on Wix’s secure servers, which are hosted in the United States and the European Union and supported by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure. Wix implements administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect donor information, but it does not guarantee absolute security.

We do not receive or store your full card number or CVV. Wix and its processors retain payment authorization details solely for transaction settlement, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance. We have access only to limited donor details (name, contact information, donation amount, last four-digits of card, and transaction confirmation).

ii. Access and Use
Wix, its authorized payment processors, and acquiring banks may access donor information only as necessary to process transactions, comply with financial and legal obligations, and maintain the security and integrity of the Wix Payments platform. Our internal personnel may access limited donor information for accounting, donor acknowledgment, and compliance purposes only.

iii. Responsibility for Data Protection
Wix and its processors are responsible for safeguarding payment information transmitted through their systems. We are responsible for securing any donor information stored or accessed through our Wix account or internal systems. If Wix or its processors experience a data breach that affects donor information, they are required to notify us, and we will in turn notify affected individuals as required by law.

iv. California Residents
The use of Wix Payments and associated analytics tools may constitute “sharing” of personal information under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Donors who are California residents have the right to opt out of such sharing by clicking the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link available in our website footer.
