CO-FOUNDER & CEO
Samantha Moritz
"Evidence-based care shouldn't depend on zip code or bank account. We're here to change that—one pathway at a time."
As Co-Founder and CEO of Lifekind Foundation, Samantha Moritz is building an organization that closes the gap between what heals and who has access. A certified health coach with degrees in Psychology and Legal Studies, she brings more than a decade of cross-sector experience to healthcare. Her belief: whole-person care belongs to everyone, not just those who can afford it.
Board of Directors
Lifekind Foundation is governed by leaders who believe access matters more than intentions. Our Board brings expertise in healthcare, community development, and nonprofit governance—guiding decisions that create stability, not dependency, for the communities we serve.

We're actively expanding our Board to include voices that reflect the communities we serve—leaders with lived experience in recovery, trauma-informed expertise, and deep roots in Latino communities. If that's you, we'd like to meet.

Tobias Moeller-Bertram, MD, PhD
CO-FOUNDER & CHAIRMAN
Dr. Tobias Moeller-Bertram, MD, is a triple board-certified physician in Anesthesiology, Pain Medicine, and Addiction Medicine, and a nationally recognized leader in chronic pain and integrative care.
With more than two decades of experience across military, academic, and clinical settings, he has held leadership roles at VA San Diego, contributed to published research through UC San Diego, and guided multidisciplinary teams focused on coordinated, patient-centered care. Dr. Moeller-Bertram developed the Unitized Transdisciplinary Care (UTC) model to bring compassion, science, and systems together, and co-founded Lifekind Health to address the gaps created by fragmented, one-size-fits-all medicine—helping shape the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to education, research, and community-based initiatives that expand access to thoughtful, integrated care.
